Kaos Challenge: Turret types and strengths

Playing Kaos challenge, you have a choice in the Build Phase to choose and build your defense towers. The tower types are aligned with the elements, a different design for each of the ?eight? Elements.
Now...some require you to destroy a Traptanium Crystal before you construct the tower. The tower that is created in this space is aligned to the element of Skylanders you use to activate its build sequence. This means you have at least eight different tower designs to help you fend off the minions of EVIL...lol.
This thread is here to define each tower choice and identify, if possible, any advantages associated with each tower type. Who knows...maybe certain tower types don't do much damage but delay the enemy well without being destroyed easily. Others may pack quite a punch but vulnerable to attack, meaning you need to orbit close and babysit them. These types may not be advisable for the front turrets but better situated for the rear turrets. These details may not be critical now in the lower levels but may be more significant at the higher levels. In addition, I just find this kind of tactical detail interesting...
