First of all, two deals are in effect now at TRU thru 11/26: B1G1 40% off and a really interesting deal...4 Spyro's Adventure singles for $10. That's $2.50 per Skylander....wow. It seems like the best opportunity to experiment with painting your own custom figures.
Now....
Tour R Us put up their Black Friday type deals. However, they are offering a 4 hour window on Thanksgiving, Thursday from 5-9pm. The deals look to be Buy 1, get 1 70% off-road and a big discount on Starter Packs.
Crunching the numbers on those deals....At non-TRU prices, mini's cost @$7 each. ($14 per dual pack divided by 2). Buy 2 packs with the 70% deal and it works out to be @$4.86 per mini.
Same logic puts standard core figures at a non-TRU price of @$10 and $7.15 each with the 70% discount. Trap Masters go from a Non-TRU cost of $15 to @$11 each. I compare TRU's discounted prices against the standard price you would spend at any other store. That more accurately shows the value of TRU's deals.
I wanted to just get the facts out there. There is a whole separate debate to be had about shopping on Thanksgiving itself or not.
The pic below shows the offers...
Go to Toys R Us website and look for the Savings Center---Today's Deals.
