It should also be noted that a path switch will simply result in getting the other paths upgrades, no need to repurchase upgrades, you could potentially change path every level

Yeah you can change paths every level. It ends up debatable for the other path. The technical side is if you are on Nightmare Mode or Arena's, you tend to almost just want 2 for the path differences. I'm starting to see it happen a lot with Mini's. People buying both just for both path's. The irony is it's from people that at first were like oh these are reposes. Still gets 2 for both paths anyways tho. It just really depends how many hours you put into a figure.

Path's is the one area where Disney now offered Skill Tree's but actually made them useless in the sense of everyone picks the same upgrades because you can't get all of them even with 2 figures. It's why some are angry with Disney about it. I have seen some SSA figures $5 new. I would buy them but I don't need them. I already have 2 of them or I would for the other Series 1 Paths. Especially Cynder. It's why for me personally the difference is worth having a 2nd one. Something similar is happening with Tidal Wave Gill Grunt.

Anyways sorry for the long weird rant/technical stuff, about Paths and Upgrades and 2nd figures.

The thing is that disney poorly executed theyre paths, every character has the same tree but for names and a few skills and you have to buy several of the same character to see the entire offerings of said character. It also seems odd that there is no proper explanation, the character just gets better, skylanders has a magic fairy or power pod, and it explains how the upgrades system works. But anyway, im done with DI, theyve made too many mistakes, if a series has a mistake in a game, you fix it next game, but all/most of disneys "fixes" didnt seem to work well or help. While vv and tfb have several differences they both have good things and I would consider neither company as having made a mistake game, one that warrants no longer playing a series. If I like a series I give it one mistake chance, if a second is made I have to be done with the franchise. Also with amiibo coming I simply cant afford 3 franchises that have toys to life, and amiibo seems to be cheaper, you only need a few, in fact you dont NEED any, but having a few expands and improves the smash bros experience, and as an added bonus, they work on more than one game. They really seem to be better as toys compared to di and if one game is a dud theres others you can play.
