Activision will reveal the new Skylanders® SuperChargers Dark Edition at the convention where attendees will be among the first consumers in the world to play the game with dark versions of the Starter Pack characters, including Dark Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and his Dark Barrel Blaster land vehicle; Dark Hammer Slam Bowser and his Dark Clown Cruiser sky vehicle; and Skylanders fan-favorite Stealth Elf in a new Dark version. As an extra bonus, fans can pre-order the Skylanders SuperChargers Dark Edition Starter Pack at the Skylanders booth #121 and Xbox Lounge in the Manchester Grand Hyatt. North American fans who can't make it to the convention can pre-order online beginning today at major retailers while supplies last. Skylanders Comic-Con offerings also include a first-look at the highly collectible figures from the all-new Eon's Elite lineup, as well as the popular franchise-inspired comic book series, Mad Libs and costumes.

The Skylanders SuperChargers Dark Edition includes unique toys that true Portal Masters will want in their collections. All Dark Edition Starter Packs will be available for a suggested retail price of $99.99 and include Dark Spitfire, Dark Hot Streak, a two-sided ultimate collector poster and the highly sought-after Kaos Trophy, which is the only way to unlock special Kaos gameplay content.
Dark Super Shot Stealth Elf and Dark Sea Shadow will be available exclusively in the Dark Edition Starter Packs for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation® 3 and PlayStation® 4. The Wii U™ Dark Edition Starter Pack will include Dark Turbo Charge Donkey Kong and Dark Barrel Blaster, exclusively. Ok so the Eons Elites have had a big redo. New pose, cheaper price and characters people actually want, another GG wasn't necessary in TT. But why are there only 6? Do the backgrounds still connect? What about TTs EEs?

Next on the agenda, WHY 6 STARTER PACKS! Who in their right mind would buy 6? Just give wii and wii u the same as the others that way we dont need to pay $600 day one to have a complete collection down the road. Other than that, such hype! What does Kaos trophy unlock? They'll never tell!

I was looking at the starter pack images and Datk Stealth Elf and what I think is called Sea Shadow (?) Aren't in wii or wii u versions. They just had to make it more complicated didn't they? Also they don't include Sea Shadows driver, or SEs vehicle, which is beyond stupid as you'll have a dark character without a dark vehicle or vice versa. I mean, if it's good enough value and people want it, people will buy, so here's what they should have done:
1. Nintendo pack: for a retail of $120 US you get all elements of regular starter pack (minus SE) as well as DK and Bowser and their vehicles.
2. Dark edition 1: for a retail of $100 you get dark spitfire and hotstreak, Kaos trophy, dark Sea Shadow and Dark Unknown Driver
3. Dark edition 2: for a retail of $120 you get contents of Dark edition 1 plus Dark SE and her vehicle.

These would be far better in reducing costs, with this you pay $240 and get 2 starter packs with no starter pack items left out, as opposed to the current $525. Sure there's no Dark DK or bowser, but these in dark were too much to begin with.

Wow so many choices, but too bad most will have a limited budget. Still debating what to do here. Is there anyway that you can post the dark and light pics of the Bowser and DK figures/vehicles for side by side comparison?

Also what do you know about the "different, unique adventure" advertised for the Wii? I have not heard this yet and wonder if it will help justify both a Wii and Wii U purchase.

Will the dark stealth elf be available for purchase separately for those Wii and Wii U users who miss out on the starter pack inclusion?

For Bowser and plane i prefer regular but I was always planning 3DS over wii anyway do its fine.

On the Wii U I prefer regular DK Car but Dark DK. I figured if id already be getting 2 Stealth Elfs in PS4 (dark or reg) and 3ds ,the wii u one is obsolete therefore in my logic i didn't count it as existing so for $20 more to get dark i also get spitfire and hotstreak so about $40 worth of value (kerp in mind this is typical Australian costs). Therefore it's more value to get the dark than the regular wii u.

From what I can tell the PS4/XB1 is the all in 1 pack with a land, sea and (assuming Kaos trophy unlocks the shown Kaos Vehicle) sky. I feel it would be better if they included sea shadows driver (can't remember the name? Night crawl? Something? Little help here?) As opposed to SE who already has a dark variant, as that would comparably feel better if we assume Sea Shadow and driver aren't wave 1 it's practically an extra $80 (kaos trophy character and vehicle ) for the cost of $20 and a stealth elf and it is still only 5 figures. WHY DID ACTIVISION NOT DO IT?! (Not to mention the OCD issues caused by having Sea Shadow and SE in dark but not Driver and SE vehicle)

The Sea Shadow is driven by Nightfall.

It is quite odd to have Dark Super Shot Stealth Elf and not her vehicle AND Dark Sea Shadow and not it's Signature Driver. It is going to drive completionists crazy and admittedly feels unbalanced. Even throwing in a Jet-Vac set would be nice. I guess their logic is that the big sell for non-Nintendo Darks is the Kaos Trophy.

I have put in several questions, notable when/if we will finally get definitive info on what you do in the 3DS and Wii versions of the game. I really want Dark Bowser, but it is hard to justify shelling out $100 for a 6th Starter Pack without knowing what it does. I have a felling a lot of people will be buying the DSPs and then turning around and selling the extras (non scalpers that is...they will also be selling Dark Bowser/Dark DK etc).

Good solution, as suggested would have been to make the DSP truly spectacular and have the following:
Nintendo (Wii and Wii U)=Dark Bowser and Dark Clown Car, Dark DK and Dark Barrel Blaster (optionally adding Dark Spitfire and Dark Hot Streak)
Xbox/PS: Dark Spitfire and Dark Hot Streak, Dark Character/Vehicle 2, (optionally adding Dark Character/Vehicle 3) where Dark Character 2 and 3 DO NOT equal Stealth Elf, lol. I love the chick, but she is in standard starter packs and has Darks already.

The Elites are killer though!

Yeah loving the elites, the whole thing is just better than the dark fiasco, also wouldn't Fiesta have been good in the dark starter seeing as he's undead (i don't think undead has actually been in any DEs yet )
